It started with a trickle
Pam Walpole’s latest series is the landscape affected by the volume of unseasonal rainfall and power of excess water on a saturated land. Run-off, trickling, seeping, flowing, floodwaters engulfing – chaos! Where the unpainted surface is just as important as the painted image.
12 SEPTEMBER – 4 OCTOBER
LINGER
Created during a year-long residency at Sub Tropic Studio, Shyanne Clark experiments across multiple mediums, from acrylics to oils on canvas and charcoal works on paper, attempting to capture the depths, and the human response to the power of the sea. Pastel pops hovering above the horizon offer oblique reference to the impact of climate change and global warming on the sea and its environs. The works encourage the observer to pause, to observe the layers and marks and mediums. To linger.

the C word
