The Sunshine Coast Business Awards are back to empower local businesses with a platform to shine, writes Charlie Shelley.
Business leaders from across the region gathered at the Maroochy RSL for breakfast to celebrate the launch of the 2026 Sunshine Coast Business Awards and the start of Small Business Month.
Judo Bank’s Chief Economic Advisor Warren Hogan provided powerful insights into the current economic climate and the highs and lows of being a small business owner.
A panel of leading business owners shared their story and real-world experience including Teneille Newton of Noosa Black Garlic, the 2025 Sunshine Coast Business of the Year; The Beach Bars’ Jonny Giles; and Tim Kelly from Manufacturing Excellence Forum. Sunshine Coast Business Awards Chair Jennifer Swaine said the event provided a timely opportunity for businesses to step back and engage with the bigger economic picture.
