Estate Exchange at Alsahwa Estate
With regular workshops, gatherings and wellness events creating a serious buzz, Alsahwa Estate is staking its claim as the Sunshine Coast hub for all things MIND, BODY and PLANET, discovers Rebecca Jamieson Dwyer.
There’s nothing quite like being surrounded by like-minded people, and the Alsahwa team is passionate about bringing people together for the shared purpose of learning and connecting.
Run by a passionate team with endless ideas and enthusiasm, and guided by their brand philosophy of MIND, BODY and PLANET, the team at Alsahwa Estate is driven to share and educate people about the small changes we can all make to make this world a better place.
Since launching in 2024, the community events they’ve been running have connected those interested in biodynamic farming, sustainable living, wildlife conservation and holistic wellness through a series of workshops, events and immersive experiences.
From beekeeping and meditation to yoga and biodynamic farming; an eco day out for kids, and fire cooking classes, there’s something for everyone at this thoughtful haven.
Highlights from this year included the launch of their Wellness in Nature series, where they teamed up with high-profile yoga and pilates instructors, sound-bath specialists and more to offer attendees
a serene dose of self-care and reflection in nature. The series wrapped up 2024 with an Introduction to
Meditation workshop with Laura Poole, where guests discovered the secrets of rewilding their mind – a skill we could all use in 2025!
Alsahwa Estate’s latest series is the Estate Exchange – In Conversation With… lunches, where attendees are invited to come along and share a meal with a high-profile person, finding inspiration in their story, the thoughtful food, the deep connections made at the table and the beautiful surrounds.
The first Estate Exchange featured biodynamic farming legend and Alsahwa Estate Ambassador Charlie Arnott.
Kicking off with a welcome cocktail from local distillery Sunshine & Sons, guests were tempted and teased with the sensational visuals and aromas of an outdoors feast cooked over hot coals using locally-sourced ingredients by Terra Firma Dining.
The aromatic smoked barramundi, six-hour fire-cooked lamb leg, and whole smoked chicken with roasted pumpkin with feta, rocket, burnt honey and balsamic were definite highlights, not to mention the crispy smashed potatoes!
As we gathered at tables decorated with beautiful blooms, MC John Caruso – chatted to Charlie Arnott about how biodynamic farming revolutionised his life (and his health), and how we can all incorporate elements of this philosophy into our own lives. Renowned chef and founder of Terra Firma Dining,
Charly Pretet, also shared his journey that has taken him around the world from his hometown of Paris to Noosa.
Disappointed that you missed it and passionate about good food and good people? Estate Exchange will return in 2025 alongside a new delicious long lunch series called FEAST – a celebration of local flavours by local chefs featuring stunning tables set with wildflowers and dishes crafted from nearby farms.
Don’t forget that the Alsahwa Estate online store features a curated collection of thoughtful gifts, treasures and tools to help you on your sustainability journey, and as if that wasn’t enough, the Alsahwa
Estate team has a HUGE surprise announcement coming in 2025 that’s guaranteed to cement their status as one of the most exciting spaces on the Sunshine Coast. Here’s to an action-packed 2025!
