Festive Village Vibes

Peregian Beach is always a vibe but its electric in the festive season. Carlie Wacker sheds some light on plans for the people and this magical place over summer.

The village of Peregian Beach feels like home (even for visitors). This is one community that has nailed the art of celebration, inclusivity and community care.

As Village Vibes approaches again, I wanted to share some of the excitement that awaits and as I write this I get that giddy feeling that comes when you know the region is about to come to life with happy families and friends, visitors and locals making magical memories.

It’s that magic that is hard to describe when it comes to The Village Peregian Beach.

The Peregian Beach Business Association are perhaps the wizards that weave their wand over the lands and bring the community together with an epic array of events and experiences that further cement the region as one of the greatest little communities ever.

Summer in the Village sparkles with revamped and refreshed Festive Lights thanks to Noosa Council.

Village visitors and business owners are loving the minimal, warm lighting on timers that ring in the magic in a more responsible way.

Christmas shopping in Peregian Beach is my favourite.

While ducking in and out of the fashion, homewares and other retail boutiques you can explore the bars, cafés and restaurants and truly soak up the summer sensations.

Retailers such as The Local and Tala Collective will be staying open a little longer for twilight shopping every Friday in December offering a relaxed way to shop for Christmas in the Village.

Twilight Vibes and Sunday Vibes continue throughout summer with free live music as the sun sets in the Village Square.

Village Flicks summer movies are back with fun family movies on the big screen in Peregian Park by the beach.

The movie starts as the sun sets – take your own picnic rug, pillows and grab some tasty takeaway from the Village food retailers like Pizzami, Captain’s Daughter and Peregian Beach Hotel.

See you at the 59th Annual Peregian Beach Christmas Carols on Wednesday 20 December from 3pm. These are the longest running carols on the Sunshine Coast and in true community spirit, it is a collaboration of volunteers from Peregian Family & Friends, Peregian Beach Business Association and Peregian Beach Surf Life Saving Club.

This community event will feature live music and carols from local bands, soloists and duos, food and artisan stalls, face painting and a sky diving Santa – and rumour has it there is a special surprise to conclude the evening at 8pm.

Tickets are only $15 per family or $5 per person to support this amazing community event.

Join in all the magic of this impressive community at Village Vibes Peregian Beach. It’s the perfect way to enjoy all the magic of summer holidays and support some amazing local businesses.
