Members with Benefits at Sunshine Coast Turf Club
Rebecca Jamieson Dwyer discovers the delights in store this racing season – and how a membership can help take your experience to the next level.
Do you love the fun and thrill of the racetrack? What about getting together with friends, enjoying great food and drinks, and making a day of it? It’s time you levelled up and became a member at Sunshine Coast Turf Club!
August marks the start of the new racing season (did you know that every thoroughbred in the Southern Hemisphere shares an official birthday on 1 August? It’s true!) – so it’s the perfect time to join and reap the rewards of amazing membership perks.
For just $175 per season, Sunshine Coast Turf Club Members enjoy a range of benefits, including access to members-only facilities, dining and bars (hello Atrium Dining and Bar, where you’ll experience truly excellent service and prime views over the finish line!); exclusive discounts on food, beverages, hospitality and ticketing; invitations to members-only events; an all new Member Rewards Points program Eat. Drink. Earn. – and a front-row seat to premium racing, all season long.
And if you’re aged 18–35, you can join as a Young Member for just $150 and gain access to exclusive Young Members’ events where you can dress to impress and mingle with other racing enthusiasts.
Cheers to that!
For Sunshine Coast Turf Club’s Marketing Manager, Taryn Delaney, it’s a no-brainer.
“If you love racing, it makes sense to become a member so you can access all these great perks and have the best time, every time,” she said. “It’s more than a membership – it’s a lifestyle.”
A highlight of this season’s racing calendar is Noosa Cup Day on Sunday 17 August, where coastal charm meets live thoroughbred excitement.
The Luxe Long Lunch in the Champagne Garden will be the hottest ticket in town, blending gourmet dining, premium drinks and trackside glamour with exclusive entertainment – including Scott Hillier’s Punters Club and expert racing insights to help you win big.
On the foodie front, you’ll enjoy a gourmet four-course Global Meets Local degustation menu, plus a lavish five-hour premium drinks package to keep the good vibes rolling and the heart racing.
And the Champagne Garden crowd love going all out in the style stakes, so don’t forget to don your most fabulous frock and headwear combo to be part of the It’s a Fad by Sara Leonardi digital fashions competition – or simply sit back, sip your sparkling and soak up the sartorial vibes.
Elsewhere, there’ll be the exclusive Young Members’ Soirée in The Glasshouse, featuring good tunes, flowing drinks and elevated bites; plus The Atrium Harvest Dining Experience in The Atrium restaurant, where you’ll enjoy a refined winter menu, warm surrounds and a welcome drink on arrival.
Other events for your diary include Caloundra Cup Day on Saturday 5 July (be sure to take part in the Fashions on the Field competition presented by Hello Sunshine Magazine!); and the Sunshine Coast Pink Ribbon Raceday in support of the National Breast Cancer Foundation, on Sunday 21 September.
Plus, much-loved Night Racing is back from Friday 5 September – a must-do for all racing fans. If you’ve never experienced racing under lights, now’s the time. Gather your crew and reserve your prime position in Atrium Dining!
One thing’s for sure: there’s never a dull moment at Sunshine Coast Turf Club. See you trackside this season for fun, thoroughbreds and thrills!
